Nigerians meet in Pretoria on xenophobic attack

The Nigerian community in Pretoria is meeting today by 4:30pm to x-ray the series of xenophobic attacks that have been carried out against them.

It is a peaceful meeting geared toward peaceful existence and living in South Africa.

The meeting holds at Luli Luli Hotel, corner Potgieter and Visagie street in Pretoria.

Nigerian Union South Africa (NUSA) that is circulating the notification says the meeting is essentially geared toward unity in Africa.

Those who will attend the meeting are advised to come with concrete advice and strategies toward peace and unity between Nigerians and South Africans.

There have been series of meetings amongst Nigerians in South Africa. The Nigerian Embassy in Pretoria on Monday met with the Nigerian Union in South Africa and the Christian Association of Nigeria, South African chapter.

There are also other pockets of meetings amongst Nigerian communities in Pretoria and other parts of South Africa.

The notification on Whatsapp reads thus:
“Xenophobic Attacks: Meeting of all Nigerians.
Venue: Luli Luli Hotel, Cnr Potgieter & Visagie street, Pretoria.
Date: Wednesday, 22/02/2017
Time: 4:30pm
Unity is key.
