Cultism Violence amongst Nigerians in South Africa

There are reports of cult grouping, sheming and violence amongst Nigerians in South Africa.

The cult grouping is an extension of the cultism activities of Nigerian students and other young Nigerians back home.

In the last five years in South Africa, there have been strong cultism activities amongst Nigerians in Mzanzi.

The activities are said to be rife in Johannesburg and Pretoria. Top cult members move around with guns, knives, machetes to protect themselves or unleash terror on other cult groups.

Some of the groups (name undisclosed) gather around Blairgowrie Randburg. Another group has a strong base in Sunnyside Pretoria.

An elderly Nigerian statesman claimed to have informed the Nigerian Embassy in Rivonia, Johannesburg about it.
“When I told them. They were shocked things like that happen in South Africa and promised to nail it in bud”.

There have been violent clashes between the cult groups. No record of death from this violent clashes yet.

Parents in Nigeria are advised to monitor their children or recall them back home if they are not doing anything worthwhile in South Africa.

A Nigerian student at the University of Johannesburg says a shadow of the campus cultism that was prevalent in Nigeria is gradually emerging at his school campus in Johannesburg.

He says some Nigerian students have begun to dress in specific colours to identify with some cult groups.
