Nigerian born Nu-Jazz & Rock N Roll musician artist, Akinwale James, is set to perform on YFM’s Live N ReYired (LNR) show this Tuesday, 30 January 2018 from 10pm.

YFM’s LNR show is a live music broadcast show where artists get to perform live in front of an audience and engage with them as well.

I will be performing five to six songs from the Alafia album, said Akinwale. He also described the album as a mixture of Jazz, Afro Ballad and Rock.

Akinwale James will be performing some of his music from the coming album entitled Alafia (peace) on the 30th January 2018 on the show, The public can tune in from 10pm-12, To be part of the show, come to the Yfm studios Albury road, Hyde Park. Tickets are sold at the door at R50. Akinwale’s live audience will consist of fans, media and fellow musicians and industry supporters.

Akinwale, with many of his peers calling him the New Age Jimi Hendrix. Born in Nigeria, and now residing in South Africa, Akinwale is here to serve local audiences with a distinct, unique and universal sound. Akinwale has amazing guitar skills, coupled with his magical voice, he is a marvel to watch and listen to. Akinwale’s 1st performance was at All Season Plaza in Lagos, Nigeria, where his guitar skills mesmerized the audience, leaving them wanting for more. From then it has been a journey that saw him perform at the 2011 Benin Republic Jazz-Afrique Festival, Easter Ecstasy in Madagascar, Johannesburg Theatre, Savoy Theatre and the Guild theatre in Port Elizabeth, Niki’s Oasis, Joy of Jazz and Oktoberfest in Pretoria to name a few. As a result, he performed alongside South Africa’s finest such as Mam Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Jimmy Dludlu, and Thandiswa Mazwai.
