AYIDSA PRETORIA CHAPTER VISIT TSHWANE HOME OF HOPE IN PRETORIA

The family fun week started with the visit to the less privileged home on Steve Biko road in Pretoria on the 16th March 2018. The National Vice President of AYIDSA, all executive member of Pretoria affiliates and some members were present at the charity home. The coordinator of the home and other staff of the home received us with joy and the chairman of AYIDSA Pretoria affiliated explained to the home of our mission to the home, he explained that it has been in our programmes for the year to visit homes like this and stretch our support to the less privileged.

The national vice President buttresses his point by saying that this kind of visit is part of the association’s objectives as a sort of give back to the society, during his submission.

The coordinator of the home explained their predicament to us and she made mentioned that two Yoruba children are residing at the home, the ages of these Yoruba children are 13 and 9 years, she further explained that the 9 years old girl could not go to school because the home find it difficult to get a space for her at a school and then inform the association to help in respect of this issue.

Dr. Olusola Agbeniyi, National Vice President told the management of the Tshwane Home of Hope that AYIDSA NEC shall present the case of the 2 Yoruba girls at the National Stakeholders meeting of AYIDSA in April with the intention to have the Consulate General of Nigeria informed for necessary assistance towards their welfare and education.

The gifts that the association bought was given to the officials of the home, the members and the executive present at the home took pictures with children of the home and those two Yoruba children at the home were  interviewed by the PRO of the Pretoria affiliate so that the association will know the area of assistance that the association could be of help especially the Yoruba child that is not in school.
