Ayo Solanke Shines in South Africa

Top Nigerian Nigerian saxophonist and songwriter, Ayo Solanke says his success is traceable to resilience in the face of adversity.

In his words, “I allow myself to be abused. I like being the least in a team so that I can learn from those who are better”.

He said he does not mind being trampled upon for him to grow.

He literally learnt music by peeping into musical notes in a music shop and goes home to practice.

He lived in South Africa and left amidst failure and falter.

He sought accommodation at friend’s place when he returned to Nigeria.

“At times I work up to 20 kilometres to get to the studio when I was working on a project”.

He blew the audience away at his DVD recording of “The Journey Still” last Saturday at the Fringe Theatre in Johannesburg.

He humbly dedicates his work and the attendant waves of success to God who has taken from the valley to the mountain top.

The DVD copies of “The Journey Still” will be out soon.
