KEHINDE ABRAHAM ODELADE NIGERIA’S LAUTECH BIOLOGIST TO PURSUE PhD BIOTECHNOLOGY AT NORTH WEST UNIVERSITY MAFIKENG CAMPUS

Kehinde AbrahamOdelade is currently based at the North West University Mafikeng Campus, where he is studying Biotechnology, the exploitation of biological processes for industrial and other purposes, especially the genetic manipulation of microorganisms for the production of antibiotics, hormones, etc.

After acquiring a master’s degree in Microbiology at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State he has written thirteen papers and co-authored seven publications.

Topics covered included The Enzymatic activities, characterization, properties, and applications of cellulase, sparking his desire to delve more deeply into this field and increase capacity development in Africa.

“I chose biotechnology to acquire higher knowledge of microbiology”, said Kehinde.
