The controversy surrounding Ibadan chieftaincy reform recently carried by the government of Senator Abiola Ajimobi has taken another dimension with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji attacking distinguished members of Ibadan Elders Council.

In a statement from Adeola Oloko, the Director, Media and Public Affairs to the Olubadan, the monarch also described as untrue and unfounded the statement credited to the elders that he had consented to the controversial chieftaincy review that led to the controversial crowning of 21 new kings.

During the gunfire, the four gunmen in a black Toyota Sienna fired shots around 11:45am, destroying Alli’s car’s glass windows and other cars parked in front of the palace.
