AYIDSA (PRETORIA AFFILIATE) MET WITH SUNNYSIDE POLICE STATION COMMANDANT, BRIGADIER KEKANA IN PRETORIA

The Chairman, General Secretary and the PRO of AYIDSA Pretoria affiliate had a brief meeting with Sunnyside police station commandant and our request letter to embark on medical check-up on the station police and traffic checkpoint prayer was handed over to him.

He came up with an advice about partnership with their social development department in respect of one of our programmes that entails visiting an orphanage homes which came up during our discussion with him, he also gave us the telephone number of the head of Metro police in charge of Sunnyside and Arcadia so as to discuss with her in respect of the traffic light prayer program.

Brigadier Kekana also advised us on how to go about the medical check-up in their police station in which he said he will inform their wellness department so that a date can be communicated to us, he also said that we will have to partner with their wellness department.

He proceeded in seeking our co-operation in community policing by giving him information on any misconduct of his policemen and unsafe behavior of our people so that the society will be safe for all of us to dwell in.

He said he will be happy to attend one of our meetings or send a representative to address our people in respect of any assistance they might need from police or any misconduct of his men in the community. The meeting ended with exchange of Cell phone numbers so that we can call him directly if his men are not ready to do their job the way it is supposed to be done.
