HOME AFFAIRS MINISTER – PREMIUM VISA & PERMIT CENTRE IS EFFICIENT

JOHANNESBURG – Home Affairs Minister Hlengiwe Mkhize says the premium visa and permit centre has proved to be efficient in its first two years of operation.

The centre, located in Sandton, aims to facilitate increased investment into South Africa for corporate clients of the department through the processing of their visa and permit applications.

Mkhize took a tour of the centre on Thursday morning.

Mkhize was introduced to staff as she walked through the modern centre in Sandton and shown exactly how it works.

Mkhize says this “one-stop” shop cuts the red tape and cost of doing business in the country.

The targeted clients include investors, managers, experts, executives of multinational corporations, South African banks, international employees and students who meet pre-determined criteria.

Since 2015, over 500 visas have been processed.
