Is Wine Truly Good For Your Health?

A 750-milliliter of wine has 736 grapes or about 2.6 pounds of fruit.

Wine is made from grape when yeast eat the sugar in the pressed grape and produces two waste products: alcohol and carbondioxide.

The resulting liquid is filtered to discharge the solid waste and the liquid is barrelled or bottled as Wine.

White wine is fermented without skins whilst red is fermented with skin. Hence red wine has more antioxidants called polyphenols.

Polyphenols induces bitterness, colour and astringency (the puckered you get from vinegar or lemon).

Red wine has about seven times more polyphenols than white wine.

Red wine may be good for you: your body makes ethanol from alcohol. Polyphenals are linked to better heart and brain health.

Though more than a glass or two of wine daily can increase your risk of stroke, high blood pressure, liver disease, certain cancers, and other conditions.
