JOBURG POLICE PROBE SHOOT-OUT BETWEEN SOWETO TAXI RIVALS

JOHANNESBURG – Police are on the scene of a shoot-out between two taxi rivals in Soweto on Thursday morning.

It is understood that a taxi driver blocked another from passing and started shooting randomly in the Dube area.

No one was wounded and the shooter managed to flee.

The police’s Kay Makhubele says that they are investigating.

“The suspect managed to run away, but police are on scene to try and locate the suspect.”

This comes on the back of this week’s shooting in Ladysmith, in KwaZulu-Natal, in which 11 people died during apparent taxi related violence.
