Nigerian Pastors in Pretoria are victims of stereotypes

Evangelist in Pretoria, South Africa says Nigerian churches are victims of unfounded generalisations and negative stereotypes.

Evangelist Michael Omokhagbor of the Rhema of Glory church (Christ Apostolic Church), Pretoria says Nigerian churches are perceived as overzealous, occupying most of the venues and halls in Pretoria, leaving other churches stranded.

He sheds more light that there is a also a strong allegation of perversion of the gospel amongst some Nigerian pastors.

He says: “South Africans and other Africans are highly receptive of the good news that we preach and are receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. They see us as true men of God”.

He says he is unaware of the unhealthy competition amongst Nigerian churches in Pretoria and does not see any reason why there should be competition. “We are called to different arms of the five fold ministry according to the gift of God…”.

The vision and mission of Rhema of Glory is to win souls for Christ and leave by example. The ministry has imparted lives in Pretoria – a dead child was brought back to live in the ministry, amongst many great signs and wonders wrath by God therein.
