Put On Jesus Christ!

Put On Jesus Christ!

In Romans 13:14, Paul said ‘Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill the lust thereof’.

This is a high calling. Whereever we go, people will see Christ in us. Our’selves’ will die and Christ will be alive in us.

Hence, we will walk like Christ. Talk like Christ and think like Christ. Anything Christ wont do, we wont do.

Moreso, the flesh will rage but we must not give in to the flesh and its dead works.

Fleshly desires are lustful desires. Untamed lust gives birth to sin.

How do I tame the flesh someone may ask. Saints, it’s a daily ritual.

You have to purify your heart with the blood of Jesus daily.

You have to put the whole armour of God daily. (Eph 6:10 -18).

You have to avoid words & images that strengthen the flesh.

Some indecent stuff on TV will sow fleshly seed in you. Except you are prayerful, the seed might become a tree.

Daily, ask Jesus, the refiner and purifier to refine and purge you that you may constantly put on Christ (Malachi 3:3).

However, don’t be too hard on yourself, you may still make some mistakes along the way. Dust yourself and soldier on.

His Grace is sufficient for you. His strength is made perfect in your weakness…’Therefore, do not be ashamed of your weakness so that Christ’s power may rest on you…(2Cor12:9)…Then you will put on Christ.
