#TIMOMOTOSO COURT POSTPONED PASTOR TIM OMOTOSO’S BAIL APPLICATION HEARING TILL MARCH 8

Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court postponed Pastor Tim Omotoso bail application hearing till the 8th March 2018. The head of Consular services at the Nigeria high commission in Pretoria, Mrs Chindo and the Minister in charge of Immigration at the Nigeria Consulate in Johannesburg Mr Andrew Ogbe were in the court today at the bail hearing of Nigeria televangelist, Pastor Tim Omotoso.

However, the case was postponed till March 8 2018 due to an absence of one of the co-acussed in the case. Nigeria missions has been involved in the case to ensure that justice is done.

Also , a notable Nigeria legal scholar at the University of Pretoria centre for human rights, Faculty of law, Dr Olufemi Oluyeju will be visiting the detained pastor at the Port Elizabeth jail tomorrow. Dr Oluyeju is the Secretary-General of Association of the Yorubas in Diaspora South Africa. AYIDSA has been in the fore front of advocating justice in the case of Pastor Tim Omotoso since his incarceration last year April. On the 12th January, AYIDSA delegation met with the new high commissioner, Ambassador Musa Ibeto over the matter.

 

 

The National Prosecuting Authority’s Tshepo Ndwalaza says: “The case was postponed to 7 March. The new lawyer they have chosen has written representations because they want the case to be dismissed. They believe the matter is based on allegations.
